Default Drag radials

Its time to go to the track and I am buying Drag radials this week. The local speed shop has Nittos extreme in the same size as my stock tires 245/45/17 on stock 17 rims. I have read BFGs are alot better but I never see them advertised in 245/45/17. What other sizes do they come in that would be best for my car without changing the speedo calibration? What about 18" rims? Are the bfgs that much better than Nitto?

They don't make */45/17 tires. It's 40 not 45.

So will 245/40/17 fit my rims and will they change the speedo?

They will fit fine, IMO I would go with 255's or if you feel like trying some 275's I'd do that.

It may throw your speedometer off by a mph or two, nothing noticable.

I have BFG 275/40. They hook well. The only bad thing about putting that size on the front is that it pulls you into every rut(two hands on the wheel). The $190.00 a pc at
Bell Tire.
