The heads/cam's make all the difference.

You can swap them onto your car. It'll cost a pretty penny, but you'll enjoy the car much more.

Heads/cams (PI swap) Just buy a new 99 motor, its not much more than the swap and you will have longer life of your car.

Ok that sound good, just one question. could i just go to a salvage yard or dealership and get only the stock 99 cams and slip them in? will that work and what kind of gains would i get just from them?

The difference is the Heads/Cams and Intake with the majority of power coming from the Intake and Cams.
You can pick up the 99 up intake/cams fairly cheap. Check out the corrals for sale area...very actice.

droptoppony your car looks awesome!!! i love it

oooh and if you are considering a PI swap, it is a good idea if your engine is low milage. but if you have high milage like mine, it would not be worth it. my bottom end is weak... i'm planning on completely overhaulin the engine within a year or two to make it PI equivilant and blower ready... just my $0.02
