Default Strong fuel smell... any ideas?

I have had my exhaust done for a bit now and I have noticed a really strong fuel smell coming from it. I know im running no cats but is there any adjustments im suppose to do after the LT headers and xpipe?

How is your gas cap? Filler neck? If it's not that...sounds like you are running rich or you have a fuel line leak somewhere.

My exaust smells alot more now if i idle around alot, or take it extremely easy in town. I think its just a matter of more fuel being supplied with the better exaust. I could be totally off base here. I really notice it if I have my diablo chip selected in the sport position.

In either case you should be farily safe. Although not desireable, its better to be running just a little bit rich than just a little bit lean.

What he said. it wouldn't hurt to hurry up & get the rest of your mods, & a tune, so to get ur A/F perfect again. The smell is not going anywhere, cuz u don't have cats, but you may lessen the potency of the smell. After a while, you'll get used to it.

It doesnt (at least in my opinion) really smell that bad. I rarely get a wiff of it, and when I do it isnt like its overpowering, you can just tell it is there.

I really don't think its is that big of an issue, although it would be nice to see (on a dyno) what kind of effect a custom tune would have at this point.

If I knew of a shop anywhere near being close I would try it, but there doesnt seem to be one. Anyone ever heard of a shop in or near St. Louis?
