Default Mod Help Please

Ok so I am looking at starting off my mods with a programmer and exhaust.

For the programmer I am trying to decide between the Diablo Predator or an Xcal II. Anyone know which if either is better and why. If I change my gears later can both correct Speedo and all that. Also is there a better programmer out there? I have heard a lot of good things about the X cal but that was on F150s/

Now on to exhaust. I am looking for maybe some power if possible but mostly I want it loud. My old mustang was using stoch H or X can't remember which is on the Mustang stock but had straight pipes from there and I grew to love the sound. This time I want to go with an actual system. It has to be emission legal so I won't be going with Long tubes and as far as other types of headers I am not sure yet. What are all of your suggestions.
I am looking at wither a Magnaflow or Flowmaster system. Since I am not going with long tube headers I can't justify paying over 200 more for SLP unless the performance increase will be significant. Like 3-10 HP more.

Anyways please give me advice thanks.

Not sure about the Xcal or diablo ([:'(] EFI) , but as for exhaust, you should get a high flow cat pipe and flowmaster 40 series mufflers. Straight pipes might sound ok, but it actually hurts exhaust flow, flowmaster mufflers actually create a vacuum and the exhaust actually gets sucked out. YOull make more power runnin these than you would with straight pipes. Theyre kinda loud, but with a cat pipe they wont be too bad.

+1 on the exhaust, as for tuner, if you are planning on adding any more HP I would wait until you have done a few more mods and then get a dyno tune at a speed shop. Dials it in a little better.

So you would not suggest a magnaflow or flowmaster cat back? Those are the 2 I am mainly looking at. Both can be had for under 430. Or would you recommend that and a midpipe?

Also on the Diablo would they not be able to use that to do a custom dyno tune at a local dyno place?

I would go flowmaster. Cant beat it if you wanna sound like a muscle car. Both are pretty even though. If you just want to be loud and obscene, go with SLP loud mouths, but they sound like crap(unless you like it).
