I failed emmisions today, my cel was on so i disconnected the battery to turn it off and it still failed. But it threw out code p 1433 and i can not find the evap control valve or evap sensor, i have looked under the passanger headlight and in the passenger fender and can not find it, can someone please help me find it so i can fix this.

Its usually either by the gas tank or the charcoal canister.

buy a scantron at pep boys and it will wipe out the codes.

i dont want to just wipe out the code though, because my car smells like gas at times and gets horrible milage which i believe is realated to this, and where is the charcoal canister?

The test will see if you turned off a code or if you did a hard reset on the confuser. I would get it fixed so the car runs right.

Oh sorry the charcoal canister is located behing the back tire on the drivers side. it's big round and black with hoses in and out of it.
