Brought it to a body shop and they said this process is called "delamination" and they suggested that I contact a local Ford dealer to complain about this peeling paint issue... =( I went to Ford and this guy gave me an estimate of 300 dollars to fix the spot... *sigh* what should I do??

Contact Ford directly, tell them that your paint is peeling off. Most newer cars are covered under a paint and body warranty, but this almost sounds like a manufacturing defect.

yea get in touch with the main place, the paint is suposoto be guarenteed up to 10 years.

your out of warranty they wont touch it, your out of luck as far as that is concerned.

Sad to say but once its one day or one mile over warranty your on your own unless there was a recall for the problem, good luck.

Doesn't ford have a rust through warranty for like 10 years like most other american manufacturers? I would say that if the paint is already peeling that is a sure sign of the beginning stages of rust through. Hell once the paint is gone the metal is next... I'd personally call ford and pitch a fit if your local dealer doesn't want to touch it.

Have you tried taking it to a few different dealerships C? There are quite a few in the orlando area.
