Hi guys,

i was wondring if this is possible? just an idea i dont think that im going to do it, but just want to know if its possible, is possible to swap my 4.6 block with a 5.4L? i mean just the block of 5.4, would my original heads fit? and what about the fueling system does it have to be changed such as injectors, intake,etc?????????????????????

 

they use the same heads.....prepare to spend alot of money i ended up spending about 2,900 after everything..... now i wish i would of just s/c the 4.6.........save urself trouble and save up for the a s/c......the 5.4 is all torque 0-60 is nasty but after that it dies off.....just got my cams, but will see.......

 

i used my same injectors maf,u gonna have to buy a hood and make ur own intake......

 

I've heard the 5.4 swap will give you 320rwhp hmmm need to research more

the 5.4 was designed mainly for the trucks because it put out so much more torque.

just get a s/c

ok guys i have a question are u talking about 5.4 sohc or 5.4 dohc becuase there's a huge differance!!!!! the sohc puts out 280 and the dohc puts out 340 i believe, the money u will spend on the dohc will be more expensive then a s/c.....just trying to put the dohc into a mustang will be had enought, i had to hammer my bbk shorties to get them to fix i could only imagen if it was the dohc.......and the cheapest i found the dohc 5.4 was 3,600 at a salvage.
