Default Badge Swap

Hey Guys.

I want to put the Cobra badge where the GT Badge currently resides. On both sides and on the trunk. Do these come off pretty easy or look crappy once you remove them? The Cobra badge is a bit smaller than the GT, so I don't want it to look like crap. Poor mans Cobra basically. I have not removed them for fear of destroying something.

Thanks

I dont think their riveted i think their double sided tape my friend. But id say no to the cobra thing makes you look tacky but hey its your car. I am just saying id look at you funny pulling up next to me in a gt with a cobra badge.

oo and with the double just heat it with a heast gun for a few seconds nothing more or your paint will be fried and pry off. BE careful!

get some fishing line and run it behind the emblem working it up and down and it will cut through the tape, then get some goo gone or something to get the rest of the tape off. But dont do it, everyone will know its not a cobra.

Thanks for the responses. Why do it, just cause I want to I guess. I've already changed the rear bumber and it came out really nice. The grille is on order. The wheels are ready to go. The only thing I don't have is the steering wheel cover and the rear tail lamps. Not sure If I'm going to change those or not. Just something to do. I have no plans on making it cheesy by just doing the badges. Everything will be converted with the exception of the 32 valve motor. If I follow through on everything the only way you will tell is if you look underneath or pop the hood.

i did this swap to, i had an 03 GT that i put a 01 cobra front and rear bumper on a cervinis stalker hood, 01 cobra tail lights 03 cobra seats in, it looked good and no one could tell, unless you looked at the speedo, stering wheel or the solid axle, just get a cobra thats what i did i should have saved all the money i put into the gt and the cobra would almost be paid off

i want a cobra front bumper cause i like the look, but will keep the gt badges. I would hate to explain why it doesnt run like a cobra either, unless you put a blower on. they should be just stuck on, use nail polish remover (carefully) to remove the glue. This stuff has a solvent in it so watch your clear coat.
