For those of you who run catless...how obvious is it?? by the smell...or is it possible to tell. I live in CA and we have smog ***** and im wondering if i could be caught if a copper smelled it? or saw black smoke shootin out or something. i hear there are huge fines for illegally modifying your car in CA...just dont wanna get slapped with a HUGE fine or anything. im not worrying about smog, there are ways around that, plus im keeping the old midpipe.

 

ya u can def smell it, and its a lot louder

 

oh yea....the mufflers will stay stock...which hopefully will keep noise down...

The smell is profound. I have LM1's, LTs, and o/r X. No DOUBT you can smell that stuff coming out the pipes. And the sound is ridiculous, ticket worthy with LT's and a straight thru style muffler like Loudmouths or Stingers.

But hell... it is SO worth it!

 

haha....shiiit...im actually more worried my dad will smell it and be like what the ****...ill shut my car off if i get pulled over...

I guess we will just have to see when it comes eh? should be here tuesday, but my tuner doesnt come till friday. is it gonna be safe to drive those three days without the o2s turned off? just unplugged?

 

Ive been pulled over quite a few times, nothing exhaust related. But I always turn off my car when I do get pulled over, and I am VERY suprised a cop hasn't said anything about the smell, I guess they are pretty much clueless though.

And PS- If you are worried about your dad smelling it... He probably won't really even notice, you can make something up, but honestly, if your worried about your dad... Your in for a ride, lol.

 

well only because i told him today i bought the stuff...and he wanted to make sure nothing illegal because supposedly the coppers are cracking down with 2k fines for illegal crap...but your right he prob wont notice, plus im a good liar hahaha.
