ORIGINAL: Zephid

so yea, my shifter was kinda messed up and when shifting to third it seemed to get stuck every now and then and kinda half stay in N. so today i was driving and acc a little faster then normal and when i went to third it got stuck and i grinded the gears. damnit. but now everytime, EVERYTIME, i go to third it gives a quick grinding sound no matter how fast i am going. i hope this is a minor fix. for the cash flow currently is not too good.
synronisers are shot dude. Its time to pull the tranny

This happend 2x with me man. Take my word for it, if you can afford it either get a BRAND NEW stocker or a new TKO. Do NOT try to buy a trans from a rebuilder unless you know their rep. I went thru 2 T-45 before I learned my lesson.

Your car has the 3650 Tremec trans and there is a TSB on it for exactly this problem. If you have an extended warranty on the car Ford has to fix it, if not you'll have to do some screamin' and yellin', good luck.

Its TSB 04-15-6
