Default Going with 3:55

Hey guys, I think imma go with 3:55 gears on my 01 GT automatic, I wanted 3:73 but I heard 3:55 is better for the automatic any truth? And 3:73 is better for manual? Reason im not getting 4:10's I do alot of highway driving around 60-75MPH and dont like my RPMS so high! Plus the Drone! Do u think 3:55's and the Diablo tunner will make any difference ? Also how about gas mileage too
PS. this is Grayghost01gt just lost me password

even if you went up to 4.10s your gas mileage should only drop maybe 2 mpg. if i were you id go with 3.73s...but this is just another gear thread and youll prolly get 101 different opinions lol. mostly everyone is going to tell you to get a steeper gear than 3.55. youre going to hear 3.73 or 4.10...3.55s are just a lot of money spend for not much improvement at all. dont fear the gear as they say lol. Don't the autos come with 3.31 gears? Even I'm not for going with a really low gear, but I think 3.55s would be wasting your time. Usually if you have an auto you want to go with a lower gear, I would say go with 3.73s at least.

as far as i know,, all 99-04's have 3.27's stock,, i might be wrong though

but as theyve said, if you want 3.55's, save your damn money, you wont feel it after the first week once youre used to it and angry you dropped about 500 dollars on nothing

i feel the same way about my 3.73s already. 4.10s are going on after everything else is said and done.
