Hey gang! I'v eread in some places that the mustangs fit with the 3650 can't handle the power of a KB 1.7 on a good amount of boost. Is this true? I am hoping to fit a KB to my car in about 4 to 5 months. I don't know much about the transmissions of mustangs. Thanks!

i think the tranny will handle it just fine. 1.7s on pump gas dont make a ton of hp (read: dangerous amount) unless you monkey with them. That is just what i have read about them. I was thinking of buying one as well, but too much $, so i went vortech instead.

I like the KB cause i love the feeling of neck snapping from the get go. How much differnce in price is there between a intercooled KB 1.7 and a Vortech, putting down about the same amount of HP?
