my car is my daily driver, it's a 5 speed and it's blown. i'm going with 4.10s when all my other work is done. i listened to people like you and got 3.73s. that was a $500 mistake.

How much do the 4.10's raise your rpm's? I take it that since they raise your rpm's, you get worse gas mileage?

thats the advice i was given...my friend has 4.10s on his and he said that was a huge mistake for his DD..thats what made my decision...i drove his car around and i could tell that i didnt want them on my car.....sure ive heard plenty of times 4.10's FTW...and im giving advice based on what i think...my opinon is obviously different then all of yours...

i've got 4.10's on my Daily Driver.

Mileage is no worse, unless im playing around.

RPM's arent bad at all... im 2K at 55 which is still low 20's MPG on big country roads and its about 2500 at 70's,, which still isnt bad

as for losing driveability,, unless you love shifting at 1500rpm, you wont lose anything.

when you recommend 3.73's to someone, you should make sure to mentiond that you aer in the minority, and your opinions are less common than everyone elses..

i almost bought 3.73's because of all the bull **** myths people make up and say,, i was brave though and thought i was making a mistake with 4.10's, now i think 4.30's would have been a possibility

i know an 02 gt with only catback, intake and short throw, street tires, and ran a 14.2. Hopefully 4.10s will get him in the 13's?

Its all about his 60'.

If he can improve that, or keep it where it was with his 4.10's launching, then I can see him getting 13's.

To insure it, throw on some DR's and its in the bag.

I drive about 50 miles everyday during school, going from home to school to work and back home, its all highway and its realy not that big of a deal, it only changes the rpms slightly... 4:10's for the win!!!
