Default clutch/shifter question

i replaced my clutch three months ago, i also put in my tri-ax shifter as well. my question is how hard is that new shifter on my new clutch? and i used an oem replacement clutch so did i mess up? i was doing it myself and wanted to get it done so i just picked one up from autozone and called it good. i had the flywheel turned but yet i am starting to hear the throw-out bearing whistle.

not at all, as long as you know how to drive, it just decreases shift time that's all

The shifter should have no effect on the clutch at all, just the trans. I've never cared much for aftermarket clutch kits but you really should get a lot more then 3 months out of the TOB., although I have been hearing a lot of guys having problems with them lately. I know its not much help but I would bring it back to Autozone, ( the car, not the clutch ) and let them hear it, see what kind of warranty they have on it, good luck.

my ford racing king cobra clutch worked great. I figure I'm gonna bust my @$$ to put it in, it had better be at least a step up.

Some people had bad luck with their TOB, but I haven't yet. most ford TOB are noisy in all kinds of cars. If it is just a faint sound dont' worry, but if it gets really loud and prevalent then start investigating it

I'm going to have a CENTERFORCE DUAL FRICTION clutch available this week. I'll get the price uploaded to the site in the next couple of days.

When my tob started to go the noise that it made seemed louder than the exhaust at idle! You know how it goes when something isn't right and makes a certain sound you think the guy across the street walking his dog with his walkman can hear it too!!!
