Change rear diff. ?

How often should you change your rear diff. ? I have an 04 GT with 25k on it.

The diff or the fluid? The fluid should be changed after break in (there's a study on this and how much it helps your mileage...I'm too lazy to look it up right now).

The diff itself, when it wears or breaks as stang mentioned.
