RE: help with 96 mustang headlight removal
Well i changed my corner lenses and those just popped out w/ a little effort. I bet the headlight does to. Just take out the bulb and mess w/ it. Thats about all the help i can give ya.

it was tuff for me, you have to get needle nose plyers and pinch a platic peice so it loosens up and then you pull the headlight case out. You can look at it and figure it out.

There's an even easier way than that. Get an 11mm box end wrench and push it over the plastic stops, the ones that keep the headlight from popping out. Using the wrench will compress all sides of the plastic stop and make it much easier for you to pull out the headlight. I will say that it's nearly impossible to use the plier method, unless the plastic stops are facing a certain direction-there just isn't any room in there! I recommend removing the corner lights also, as it will help you guide the new lens and their adjusting screws in straight.
Afterwards, they say to take it to a shop with proper aiming equipment, but you can play with the adjusting screws until you're satisfied with the car...
