Default stock headlight question

does anyone know where they sell stcok headlights for 96 ford mustang gt? because if i get the aftermarket ones, im afraid they wont pass inspection.

these say dot approved
but I would got to the inspection station and ask exactly what will pass

aftermarket ones pass inspection, they should all say dot approved. I have aftermarket and they passed....and look 100x better than stock ones.....

i think there's some kind of coating peeling off lens, so do i need to replace my lens?

If your stressing buying aftermarket lights then buy the Cobra clears from the 96. They are way better then the stock non clear headlights. You can get them from Ford and they are a direct swap. Most aftermarket are DOT approved so you should not have an issue. I pass every year.
