2nd time at track
I posted last night in street/strip but didn't get many replies and I also didn't post my best time.
Reaction .553
60 ft 2.096
595 ft 8.490
1/8 et 9.029
1/8mph 83.5
My best 60 was a 1.934, shouldn't I be running alot better times?

RE: 2nd time at track
What track were you running at because altitude and weather have a big role to play in it all and determining how shallow or deep you stage. I race at Maple Grove with altitude being around the 1000' mark on these kind of days and I can pull off 2.10s and even a couple 2.0s in 60' and I'm a stock auto stang.

you still have plenty left in it. the 83mph will easly get you a mid 8. in the 1/8 I hit 8.656@78.96 with a 1.963 60'(not my best 60')
looks like you are getting all the 60's you will get. Just do what you was doing with the 1.934 and keep it up. just need some practice to constantly get in the 1.9's. Probly just need to work on shifting, powershifting will net the most time, but is easiest to break something in the transmission.
Try getting in line behind a race car with slicks, instead of a fwd street car that loves the waterbox. that could be the difference in the 2.0 and the 1.934. find the lane that sticks the best and stick to that lane.
The track I have has the 330' and not the 595' so not sure how that compares to times I have seen at my track. Do you know if your just all out hooking or still spinning. Might the white chalk stuff they use to put your time on your window and use that to put a line on the sidewall of your tire so you can have a friend watch for wheel spin easier on launch. If your not spinning, try upping the rpm on launch, till you find where you are spinning and launch just below that from now on. You might still need to play with how long you do your burn out, tire pressure.

before you get the mongoose you probly want to get a few suspension mods otherwise you will be just more pissed. At least get some u/l control arms, full length subframe connectors. And if you are going to be going to the track alot, might think of getting a separate wheel/tire combo for the track.
