On my 02 GT manual, over the last couple days there has been a whine that is in conjunction with the RPMs. When I rev or accelerate, the whine changes pitch as well. It whines both in neutral and in gear. The weird part is that when I am not moving and I turn the wheel, the whine seems to change pitch with the speed I turn the wheel out as well. Any idea what this could be?

 

pop the hood and listen to see if the belt/pulleys are making the noise. Thats the only thing I could think of that would be ther all the time wether neutral or in gear, plus the power steering runs of the belt.
