there are only a few people who will say their 3.73's were worth it....

unless you travel 90% of the time on the interstate doing 85+,, then 3.73's should be your second choice next to 4.10's..

if you search around, there aer bout 35,000 threads on gears that go in depth about every possible explanation ;-)

i love my 3.73's it is a very good and noticeable step up from stock, but my car is not a daily driver and if i did it again i would put in 4.10's.

Just dont drive too fast on the highway.
When i`m on the highway, I keep it between 65 and 70 and I still average 20 mpg.

I'm the only one on this board who likes the stock gearing. Drove 4.10's and hated it... obviously it did feel a little faster, but that doesnt take a way from that fact that it sucked.... 4th gear at 30mph...

I have stock gearing and I average 26-27. [sm=icon_rock.gif]

City driving i'm averaging 19-20 including getting on it maybe 3-4 times per tank. Stock gearing > 4.10's Haha... i'll never feel different.

Am I the only one who could care less about the gas mileage in my mustang? Were any of you honestly thinking of gas mileage when you bought a mustang? To czwalga00gt, if you care so much about gas mileage you might want to hold off on that supercharger, unless you just plan on letting it sit on top of your engine and look pretty.
