Default Street Tire Quarter Mile?

What is the fastest a new edge GT would be able to go in a quarter mile with street tires like Nitto 555R's or something like that? Basically, I want to know about how fast a street GT can possibly go. This can include any modifiactions that are still okay for a street driver and can pass inspection without too much work each time. Without loosing all the interior and a/c too.

Well, the 555 r's are drag radials and with those you could easily get into the 12's as far as a regular street tire high 12's low 13's I would think.

Oh come on. I know you can do way better than high twelves with a KB and nitrous.

I didn't mean together... plus, I'm talkin ANY MODS! The motor can be built to take high forced induction. I just want to know opinions on the highest quarter mile out of a street GT. 11's have to be possible... right? The only thing holding you back is the tires... something like Nitto 555R's.

Once again... look past the KB and nitrous. I am just saying there are many ways to go about it, any supercharger with nitrous if you want. I want to know about where a street GT could run a quarter mile, and still pass inspection without much changing.

On another note, I take it twin screws, like the KB, are not good for nitrous?

I had started that post before you did it and spent 10 minutes looking for that pesky vid I never found.

O and they work together amazingly just not on a GT shortblock. Non-forged internals + too much of either one of those = extremely bad news

high 10's or 11's, but dont expect to run that more then a couple times on the stock engine.

i have nitto 555 r's and my car is my daily driver. im running 12.4s all day on a not so decent 60'. i drive to the track and back from it after running it 3-4 runs there. so atleast low 12's. if i could get this thing to hook and did more bolt ons like headers then i should see high 11's.
