Default This is getting old

As some of you know I had my transmission rebuilt in Feburary by Greene Ford in Gainesville GA. They had my car for a month and did the rebuild along with a new clutch and installed my gears. The first time I picked the car up (after 14 days) it wouldn't do into 1st gear without forcing it so I returned the car. After a week in the shop they blamed the problem on a faulty clutch disc so that was replaced. I drove my car for about a week and noticed it was leaking transmission fluid so I returned the car once again to Greene Ford. They said the seals needed to be replaced so they replaced them.

Now my car makes this horrible roaring noise when i'm in neutral with the clutch out. The transmission also whines when cruising around at about 2K to 3K rmps in any gear. My car had 62,000 miles when I got it so the factory warranty was gone so I purchased an aftermarket warranty that paid for the first time in the shop. I hope I can get this resolved without having to go to Greene Ford again but i'm waiting on the warranty company to decide. Aamco is going to do a complete rebuid if the warranty will allow it. I'm so mad I can't even think straight, does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?? Sorry for the long post but this $hit is driving me crazy.

What if the warranty company insists because of the faulty work the first 3 times. Shouldn't they have some sort of guarantee on the work they do?

they should and as long as you have documentation for each visit you should be alright. i would get it to the dealer asap. because this will be the fourth visit i would also demand a loaner

They have got me a rental everytime so far but now they insist nothing is wrong. That's why I went to Aamco and got another opinion.

Have you tried calling the 3rd Party Warranty Liason?? Chances are, if you plead your case w/ them, they may allow a second opinion, and even shell out the cost, ultimately taking it up w/ the Dealership..

Yeah, stop driving the car as much as possible. Further damage constitutes negligence on your behalf, meaning you're SOL...

Also, if you have to bring it back to the dealership, write down your mileage, and then check it when you get it back. Make sure there are no discrepancies..

I haven't tried calling the warranty company yet because I just noticed the problem the other day. Aamco is calling the warranty company today to try and get the work approved. If they are denied I will contact them and plead my case, I mean hell they were ripped off as well by Greene Ford.

Well the warranty company says I have to return the car to Ford. I called the service manager at Ford and told him the situation. He said for me to bring it up today and the transmission specialist will ride with me to determine the problem. This is the same specialist that f***ed my car up to start with. The service manager said he will go to court before Greene Ford has to cover anything else. He says i'm just picky and want a new transmission. I'm not picky, I just want my car fixed. What should I do? The service manager is going to tell the warranty company I need a new transmission but if they deny that claim he wants me to contact them and tell them the same thing. I think the service manager is a crook but i'm stuck dealing with him until this is resolved. I don't think they know exactly what's wrong so the best thing for them is to replace the transmission so I don't come back with a broken car again. What do you guys think about this crap? Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Chris
