RE: Nitto 555R
Very true...
nick_thames brings up a good point though, maybe just tossing the R's out back, or at least when you're racing, and just run the 555's on the street day-to-day...
I can't wait for new rims dammit!!

hrmmm.. i guess i'm going with the Rs then.
i always heard the BFGs wore thin real quick. not as fast as MTs, but way up there. all the reading on here indicated to me that the nitto's are the best "street" drag radial cause they aren't as soft and won't hook as well and lasted longer.

i have the 555r in hte rears, but still blow them off with the vortech with ease. When they are hot and on new asphalt, they are sticky. I have the regular 555s on the front. You gettin new rims? limits your width in the rear, as i am sure you know, just not sure how big you can go on teh stock rim w/o rubbin. But then again, rubbin is racin'.

RE: Nitto 555R
that brings me to my next question. how much power was your buddy putting down that snapped his axel?
how much power are all of you putting down with the 555Rs? i don't want to be buying a new axel a few weeks after i get them. i'm putting down 407RWHP right now.

Do you still have your completely stock center section along w/ 28 splines?? I'm assuming yes, but I figured I'd ask..
They may break anyway, since you've been putting down continuous 407....
