DSS has the pro modular 4.6 and the super pro modular 4.6

the pro says itll hold 550 hp and the super pro says upward to 800...

the pro mod brings forged pistons rods but the crank isnt forged

the super pro brings forged pistons rods and a forged crank

neither bring heads or oil pan or any thing else. Can i use the stock heads on either of these blocks and everything else from the stock 4.6 motor?

also if someone is familiar with these blocks....can they take the stress of a SC and a shot?

im looking for 600hp weather its with the KB only or KB with a big enough shot..

 

UMM... The HP rating tells you if the block can handle the stress, thats what its there for. So... if you are going above 550hp you should probably get the super pro. And as for the heads, they should work, its still a 4.6 but you may want to change the heads form the stock ones if you are gonna go with that much HP.

 

thanks lol..i wasnt sure if that was what told me if it could handle it cuz i am not too familiar with the parts in engines and stuff...now i gotta find out how much hp i can get outta the 1.7l lol
