Depends on how much throttle you give it.

i mean do they have a tendency to hydroplane when it rains hard? do you think that i could cheat and put some good wet weather tire on front to move some water for the nittos

I have never hydroplaned once and his has been raining almost every day where I live. These tires are acually better in the rain than the tires that came on the car when I bought it. You shouldnt have any traction problems with these in the rain. I can give it a good amount of gas and not spin. Just dont be stupid, its raining!

my buddy had a 94 vert with those tires on it. i drove it a few times in the rain, and as long as you don't slam on the gas or go 90 mph in the rain, you'll be fine.

I have the 555R's in the rear on mine, and I got caught in the rain w/them a while back. I must say I was quite impressed w/them. They actually seemed to grib in the wet better than the stock tires. Now, that maybe attributed to my driving though. I mean, I have a lot more rwhp and rwft-lbs now, so I had to take it very easy on the gas out there in the rain. I tried to behave w/the stock tires, but it still spun all the time.
