Default alignments

If I have Steeda Sport Lowering Springs, how bad is it to have an alignment back to the factory specs? because I paid for a Lifetime alignment at trhe local shop...and they told me that I need new alignment specs when I lowered it...and i do not have the new specs...

Usually they come up with an excuse and say you voided the warranty, other then that without C/C its hard to get back to factory specs.....with springs only... usually the inside of your front tires will start to go......

yes... may not be factory but you do need those plates to prevent tire wear...... all those shops say we can only do factory specs.... but that shoudl be sufficient...............

I had the same problem. I have the steeda springs and they told me I needed c/c plates to get the alignment perfect. My alignment is off by like 1.4+ but for factory specs the most it can be off is like 1.5+ so they said I was still safe. But my tires lean in a little so its not wearing right.

Depending on how much it dropped, you could install offset rack bushings. I dropped about 1 inch and with the offsets, I'm back to factory specs without issue. You can install them on jackstands (not ramps) in about 30-60 minutes. Remember to coat the bolts/nuts with WD40 or the like 30 minutes before.

if you lower your car more than 1.5 inches you should get caster camber plates for better alignment. Anytime you do springs or suspension work you should have it aligned. My c/c plate specs reccomend 1/16" in total toe, 1/2 degree eng and 3.8 degrees pos which is pretty close to stock specs as well. Hope this helps Dan-
