Spark Plug Popped Out!!!
So I had my pony shipped from Hawaii to Cali and then drove it back here to Chicago. Crazy s**t happened in Nebraska. I was driving along doing about 80-85 and I heard this pop sound. Thought it was my tire, but then I started to smell fuel. Then I though a fuel line or something. The motor had like a hissing sound comming out of it. So I pulled over and check it out with the car still running. There was air being blown out of the #6 clyinder spark plug port. So I drove to the next gas station to check it out better. When I got there I pulled the coil pack out and the spark plug came out with it. It was the wierdest thing. The threads weren't stripped or anything and I was able to just screw it back in. After that it was fine. I don't know if maybe the motor just expanded from the heat and the thing came loose or if it just unscrewed itself some how. I know the plugs were in tight cause I did them myself. Have any of you guys ever heard of this happening? I know I haven't.
I've never heard of a properly torqued plug do that before. I have heard of improperly torqued plugs doing that. The fact that the coil pack and plug were still in one piece and you were able to thread the plug back in, I'd lean towards the improperly torqued theory.
Just a guess bro, hel- if I know.

thats crazy. threads could still be messed up, sometimes they can be chewed up but still thread somewhat tight. same **** happened with my o2 sensor, 50$ down the toilet. it threaded in alright, but i guess when i was banging around the exhaust it shook loose. turns out the threads are chewed up bad in some places allowing it to thread in but pop out even though it "felt" tight.
The impropper torque was and idea I had too, but I know I had them torqued in to the right limit. And I know what your saying about the threads too. I check those very close though and they were fine. I'm leaning towards the torque theory.
you know, i think you were darn fortunate......think what could have
happened if more and more fuel had blown out into the engine bay and
the spark plug worked it's way out of the socket area enough to ignite
the gaseous mist.......
you may have a guardian angel lookin out for ya
