well as some may know, i installed some Hawk performance pads on my front brakes.....and they have been whining every since

HARDCORE actually.....

the responce i got was that they do that, since they are a harder composite then the stock breaks, but
i keep thinking somehting is wrong......its not that hard to install brake pads, so wut shouldi look for??

i installed them correctly, im not an idiot......but something must be wrong?

might try some brake grease. saw some at o'reilly's in the small packages near the cash registers.

also pull the wheels and double check and look at the brakes. Basicly just look for anything that shouldnt be rubbing something.

warp a rotor? probly not, but just look for anything

if you havent already when you installed the pads clean everything with brake cleaner on the rotors calipers etc. There is also a brake in pocedure which im not sure of off hand as I recently installed hawk brake pads as well in the front and maybe have 500 miles on them and I have knock on wood not had any problems with them. So I would just double check everything maybe go through the install again clean everything check the bolts and the clips etc.

How about this...

Have you checked your lug nuts, are they torqued correctly?

If so, did you ALSO know that Semi/Metallic pads make a lot of noise, regardless?? Just asking.....

so these performance pads will always make noise?

this noise is VERY high pitched, and kinda shameful, lol

I recently put brakes on my fronts and I bought brake quiet from Autozone for like $3. You put it on the back of the pads and it stops them from squealing. That has helped a lot. There has only been one instance of squealing so far and that was under a very very hard brake. Other than that, perfect.
