steering recall?

steering recall?
I checked the recall/tsb section, but i didnt see anything. but a friend of mine that works at a ford dealorship in town in the parts dept. told me of a recall on the steering. When i turn my wheel it makes a squeek/creek noise...like a bad floor board in an old house or something. He says there was a recall and to get it fixed. I havnt had time to get it down to the dealorship and i hate calling them cause they are idiots....anyone know?

Yes there is a TSB out on a front suspension poping noise while turing right or left on some 2005 Mustangs built before 4/28/05. Have your friend look up TSB # 05-9-11. I think that is the one he is talking about.

when i got my car i had this fixed. when i turned the steering wheel it sqeeked. it was really annoying it was definantly coming from the steering wheel. Ford fixed it for free and said something about and airbag spring recall or something i dont remember but its silent now

Found another TSB for that. Have your friend look up TSB 05-14-3. It is for 02-04 mustangs with a squeak or creak noise when turning. But it talks about replacing brackets, not a spring in the steering wheel. Have him try that and see what he says.
