Default clutch problem

the other day while i was working delivering pizza i got in my car and the clutch pedal throw was really short. it seemed to happen all at once because 5 minutes earlier it felt fine. there's been no grinding, but it's sometimes hard to get into gear, esspecially downshifting above 2000rpm. my only guess is that the cable got stretched out. any other ideas?

Probably needs adjustment, just do as monkeydude stated above, it kind of self adjusts by pulling up the pedal, click, and then stepping on it again, good luck.
