I have a Steeda Timing Adjuster that I have been trying to sell for a while now. $80+shipping.
I would, but I dont think yours would fit my car and since I'm getting a Diablosport tuner I dont need a timing adjuster.

I have a Steeda timing adjuster and it works quite well.I would have gotten a handheld tuner but at the time they didn't allow adjusting the timing below 2000 rpm's.
The timing adjuster helped give back some of the low end power (below 1500 rpm) I lost with the Bassani headers and the car picked up two mpg's in the process.
Fit and finish is flawless and I can recommend one to anybody that's not planning on getting a handheld tuner.

What exactly does a timing adjuster do? what does it time? and what does advance and retard do? pros cons? I'm kinda new.

Simply put, I don't know enough to comment.

what would happen if you did run 87 octane?

By advancing the timing, you lean out the air/fuel mixture (or the computer may). The higher octane helps to prevent detonation, which will cause bad things to happen to the motor. For example, one of your pistons my seek employment outside of your block or you'll lose a little bit of compression with a hole in the center of your piston the size of a half dollar. Things like that.

I ran 93 like steeda recommended, then a mix of 93 and 89, and finally 89 only. I'm not brave enough to even try 87.
