If your car is still under warranty then Ford will fix it. There is a TSB for this problem with the trans. In general the trans is marginal at best, but the 3-4 synchro is a POS and needs to be replaced along with a few other parts, good luck.

what do u mean? what would i tell ford for them to fix it.. sometimes the gears feel like theres something in the way/..

im having the same problems but i just ordered a mgw shifter the other day so hopefully that helps

Sounds like a synchro indeed. Synchros help get your gears aligned, synced if you will. Those wear out and you'll have a much harder time engaging that gear.

they rebuilt my tranny. it is better than it was.

like a year ago ford put a whole new 3650 in the gt b/c they couldnt fix the 3rd gear synchros, now a yr later and its not bad but, even with my MGW i can feel a slight blockage.. only SOMETIMES.

it has the steeda triax shifter in it
