I just got my SLP lm1 mufflers installed. Sounds awsome and it was alot cheaper too that getting the catback. I got the mufflers for 149 and got them installed for 150. So in a ways for 300 i got the slp catback. Has a nice tone, not obnoxiously loud(with the stock midpipe), but deffinetty noticable that its not a stock exhaust.

How much is the catback?? If its anywhere close to 300, i woulda just got that. Isnt it bigger than stock?

yeah i already have my off road x on the car so i am not too sure how loud they are with the cats on the car but man is it friggin loud with an offroad x pipe

yeah its stainless steel and bigger so you get more airflow out of the engine. i bought my slp catback for $340 brand new.

The cheapest I found the catback for was $404.95. That was through Mustang Tuning. Usually their stuff is free shipping, but SLP makes them charge like $10 or $20 for it. I just got the X-pipe and it was $10 shipping.

the cheapest i found for the 98 was like 460, and the slp tube is 2.5 the stock is 2.25 so theres a little diff in airflow

i paid 359 shipped for my LM1 catback almost 2 years ago. i swapped the mufflers out for the LM2 though since then.

Yea, the LM1 catback right now is right at about $400. You could find it for the lowest about $380 right now. So Im not sure if you did yourself all that good... Sure you saved 100 bucks, but was it really worth it in the long run, I dunno. I personally would have just gotten the catback.

THe catback is bigger piping, and your not seeing any power from weld-ins.

i paid 400 for mine and installed it myself. but when i got an o/r h-pipe it was waaay too loud so i went with flows 40 series and dumped at the rear axle. talk about sounding sexy
