Why is that?
Compression rate is high on the 99 & lower on 01+. you need low compression for s/c unless you get forged internals.

well 99-early 01 had the t45 tranny while late01-04 have the t3650 tranny which is a bit better
Are you serious??? 12 months ago the 4.6 board was raging pissed about the 3650.

ford had to replace my t3650.

also dont the 04 cars have larger mass air and injectors?

the trannys have synchro problems but that's with all of them 99-04... T45 and the 3650, I believe the actual gearing in the tranny is differant between the two... not sure how big of a differance, but there is one... there is a TSB for the synchros though...
