Default supercharger on automatic....

does it make any difference? Im thinking about getting one of the saleen IV. Was wondering if mine being automatic means anything different to my transmision. And with the upgrade pulley should the injectors and fuel pump be upgraded too?

it doesnt matter if its a auto or stick but i wouldnt go with the saleen charger your limited with that. i would go with a vortech t - trim it gives u like 10 or 12 pounds right out of the box and u can crank the boost up big time on that thing with out blowin the charger. and your def gona need bigger injectors and fuel pump . 42 pound injectors will handle up to like 500 horse and i would go with a svt focus fuel pump its the best pump out there

What if he wants a twin screw style blower? The Vortech also costs more. Yes you're limited with the S4 but that doesn't mean you can't get more out of it. Go read the KB vs Saleen thread.

The injectors will not need to be upgraded, the ones that come in the kit will be ok for the pulley swap... you'll be getting close to maxing them out though. If you want to spray with the blower, move up to 42lb injectors or higher. Same goes for the fuel pump, your stocker will be ok unless you want to spray.

Your transmission does not make a difference for the blower.

automatics are actually good with boost...no boost drop in between shifts plus a built automatic (tq converter/shift kit) will spank manuals at the track.

You won't like the long term (or short term unless your tune is perfect) results of running 12 PSI on a stock PI engine.

And unless you have plans for rebuilding the engine down the road and making big numbers there is no reason to go with the T trim. The S is capable of 600+ whp with the correct setup.

If your goin to get forced induction I would spend a little extra cash and get a turbo... especiaslly on an automatic cause you can build the boost right off the line. And trust me there is nothing like launching off the line with 20 psi or so
