how much power can i push?
i was wondering how much power can i get out of this setup...
vortech supercharger aftercooled with 17psi
full exhuast
throttlebody/ upper plenum
stage 3 VT blower cams
stage 2 Vt heads
4.6 forged lower end with billet rods
possibly a p51 intake eventually
im just wondering what will i need to support this... how much power should i see... any other reccommendations that i can do? this is what im thinking of doing... i am attacking the motor next and want to get the heads, cams, and short block... it should be pretty stout then...

Stock internals can hold around 450rwhp, but that is about all. If you build an engine to be able to push 17psi safely, than I can serious see about 600rwhp. But be sure to work on the suspension, you could have 600rwhp and only run 13's without the right suspension. Good luck with your project, once finished it should be badass.

RE: how much power can i push?
It depends on the efficiency of the SC, and the Intercooler... Also, it depends on the actual airflow you achieve w/ all of it put together..
It's tough to guess, since you also didn't mention compression Ratio, RPM range, head work (cut valves, doming head, etc...).

RE: how much power can i push?
what blower do you have? with a T trim pushing 17 psi, you can see upwards of 650 with the right fuel system and tuning. a TKO 500 might not last long though. suspension is a must. if you have V-2 trim, you might be able to get 600 hp. but remember, with ported heads you lose boost, as pulleys are designed to flow through stock heads. so to see 17 psi, you'd prob have to put a 19 or 20 lb pulley on it.
i hope you got alot of money. my motor is built, heads/cams are done. drivetrain parts are in. after all is said and done i'll have spent over 20 grand, mostly on the engine drivetrain and power adder setup. not including stuff i've already done to it, recurring expenses like yet another shortblock swap, 3rd set of cams 2nd set of springs 4th dyno tune etc...
