I was looking at these two as well. From what I've heard the Cobra is just slightly faster by .1 or .2 seconds in the 0-60 and 1/4 mile. The 4v will respond to mods much better than the 2v though. You are looking at atleast a few grand price difference between the two though. Get an '03 or '04 Cobra those things fly.

There were many 99 gt's smokin 99 cobras, which is why they didnt make them in '00 ( I know they made the cobra R) They had to rework some of the exhaust and a few other little things to bring the power to what it was rated. Of course 99 cobras will be much more responsive to mods than the GT.
