Default KEEPING IT COOL NEED HELP!

I just got done with my PI swap and the car is running hot its not overheating it gets up the the L and never past the L no matter how hard i drive it? before the PI swap the needle was reading half and now the coolant light turns on but it has coolant i'm not running a t-stat could that be the problem? i had to cut some wire from the AC so the fans could run 24/7 but now i have no a/c and its HOTT can anyone tell me why i'm running hot? is it because of the higher compression 10:1??

Are you absolutely sure you burped the system all the way??

What about when you were putting all of your gaskets on, did you remember to put them on correctly, and not cover up any ports (i.e. coolant passage)??

What about the T-Stat you're using, is it good??

Are you sure you cut the A/C Fan wire, and not the Cooling fan Wire??

well the mechanic did put in all the gaskets right right now i'm not running a t-stat when i connect the wires for the a/c the fans wont turn on at all thats why when i disconnect them the fans are always on but the compressor does not engage how do you exactly burp the engine?

Whoa...

Okay.. Whatever you do, don't start your car... Do you have any friends who know a little bit more about cars than yourself?? Not to sound like a dick, but you can do, or may have done damage to your car..

What do you mean by you're not running a Thermostat?? I hope I read this incorrectly.. If you're not, GET ONE IN THERE!!!!! Secondly, I'm not sure what you mean by your fan wiring issue. Do you mean to say, that regardless, your A/C fan is ALWAYS on? Or are you saying, that since the A/C Compressor wasn't engaging, you made the fans stay on ALL the time??

Lastly, burping the engine is simple...

Read along, and you'll do just fine...

Thats very likey the problem. By not running a thermostat, the car will actually run very hot. Sounds stupid, but it closes and keeps the water in the radiator long enough to cool it. If it's just flowing constantly, it never has time to cool off.

Was the stat opening? Did you put it in backwards?

BINGO! Thermostats are there for a reason and that is one of their purposes. Like Sidewayz says without the stat the coolant just runs right through the radiator and does not have time to cool! I am not syre what;'s going on with the wiring and the AC issue. If you have/get a tuner you can control when the fans turn on and off, that might help along with a simple cleaning/flushing of the coolant system. Mark

I do becuase it makes no difference, when they did a PI swap to a 96 it was running HOT with a t-stat and when they took it off the car was running normal! and to this day that 96 does not have a t-stat and it never gets past half way!!!
