LT's are not legal in any state....but if they don't dyno test you or look and you don't have a Check Engine Light you will be ok...I thought Texas was a no emission test state? or maybe just certain counties....

long tubes are not legal due to the distance to the cats

and the fact that the cats don't do their job b/c of the longtubes...the gases flow too quickly for the cats to work on them, so unless the car is really warmed up and driven for awhile, the cats are pointless

When I was in HS, I worked at an oil change place in Schertz (Northeast of San Antonio). We also did inspections. As long as we didnt hear any real bad exhaust leaks it passed.

Cats do work with LT's... if you dont think so smell mine compared to my friends without cats. Might not work as well but they definatly still work. They are illegal cause the cats get pushed back; but i still pass inspection with them with 2 cats.

i was misinterpreted...obviously, if they are there, they will do something, but not enough to pass an emissions test
