Hmmmm, I am leaning towards the fan as well. Did you put a new water pump in when you had all your engine work done?

Check the fan. When the car is hot just watch it with the hood up to see if it comes on.

No, I did not put in a new water pump. I am using the same one I always have. I have ordered a new electric one though.

I had the exact same problem...

i started but cutting the center section out of my t-stat, i run 100% water with water wetter, new pressure tank cap, replaced the radiator...

it ended up being some ****ty wiring job someone did to try and fix the fan, it was basically turning off randomly and not coming on when it needed too. it would ALWAYS overheat when i was sitting at a light, CHECK THE FAN.

OKAY! I started my car up and let it warm up. My radiator fan DID turn on, and when I turned on the A/C the a/c fan turned on also. The car was blowing cold air too! Now, after letting the car run and run, I gave it some revs and let her get pretty hot with the air on. All of a sudden my radiator fun stops moving and my A/C turns hot! Mind you, both fans work, but something is shutting them off when they get up to temp very hot temperatures. Now what?!

they should only spin WHEN it gets to a tempature like...190-210 degrees. if your radiator fan is spinng while its cold or semi-hot, and then shutting off when its hot, thats your problem, maybe in the tune, or some wiring like that other guy.

im sure you have a tuner...
anyways

fan is programmed to turn on at a certain temp, and turn off at a certain temp, you want it on at 190-210+, off at 189 and below. i dont know if the temp sensor can fault and make it read low temps when its hot, and vice versa.

Okay, well I am going to get it checked out asap, because I had it tuned by Sutton HP.
