underdrive pulleys
I'm gonna but underdrive pulleys for my mustang. I have a 2004 GT. I've been told go with the nonpiggeyback type...I'm not even sure what piggeyback/nonpiggeyback style pulleys are???
I've heard that Steeda are one of the best.
I've heard not to get March.
I've also seen on summit they have summit anondized blue under drive pulleys for my car. for $99.95.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

yeah i know. someone tried to explain it to me before and i really dont think they had any idea what they were talking about, because they couldnt give me a clear explanation.
nonpiggyback=completely replaces the stock pulleys
piggyback= replaces some of them and the one that arent replace they put the pulley next to it
Steedas the best, but really anything that isnt piggyback will do.

Piggyback are all aluminum. The stock dampener (crank pulley) is mated with the new aluminum pulley and both are bolted to the crankshaft together. So, you now have the stock pulley sitting 2 inches further away from the crank and not doing much of anything. It can cause vibration between 2500-2800 rpm and cause a misfire with accompanying codes. DON'T GET PIGGYBACKS!
March makes both types, so you need to get the one with the SFI approved damper. Of course, Steeda is ****, so buy those.
Remember, if it's aluminum, it will be a piggyback.
You can find installation instructions in the tech stickies.

Steeda gets another vote from me... Glad I went with the best because these parts are high quality pieces. I've had it on for about 8 months now and I havn't had one problem, except for my alternator going out[:@], but that's another story.
