Default Oil Fill mark

I have a 04 GT and I'm curious to whether I fill my Royal Purple oil to half the line (6qts) or to the top (6.5qts)?? Thanks!!

Fill 6 qts, start the engine, turn it off and allow the oil to drain back to the pan (5-10 minutes). Check the oil. Don't go by the marks unless the engine has been run since adding oil...

the manual does not specify which line. all is says is "do not add oil if you are between the lines" or something close to that.

I'd shoot for the middle, leaves more room for error.

My 04 takes about 6.5 qts to fill as well.
