i would just go w/a stage one you wont have to do valve springs either a VT stage one or a Comp xe-262 like i have in my car there is definently a noticeable lope and the power gains were great especially in the top end and my 1/4 mile improved by .4 with cams and dyno i posted a video of my cams and sound on here yesterday heres a link to it if you wanna watch it the quality kinda sucks you can here the lope more in person http://media.putfile.com/Mustang-GT-50

i have vt stage 1s, they add nice power after about 3K. It will lope very slightly, you will notice as it is more that stock, but if you are looking for a big muscle car burble, go stage 2. be prepared for your power curve to move up, i lost tons of tq it seemed but i put my headers on at the same time, picked up 45rwhp.

would a set of 4.10s help with the lost of bottom end?

Maybe say:
Lt's and H
Comp Cams 270
4.10s

thats what i did. I had the gears in before i put the cams and headers on, and it was such a big difference down low, i thought they took my 410s out.
