Slow.

If the traction was that bad and you stayed in gear long 15 + wouldn't be out of line.

ok then how in the hell do i not spin so damn much? i must be doing somethign wrong. whenever i hit it from a dead stop i burn the hell out of those tires. when should i launch? when should i shift? ive only had this car bout 2 months and didnt have a stick car before that. i just had driven a stakebed truck before the mach.lol

with that much power in your mach 1, you need to be launching low. maybe at about 3-3.5 rpm. after that you will be shifting at the highest output level. don't powershift, you may lose more traction. best thing to do is to get some dr.

ok kev u cant punch it as u see your gonna spin. from a dead stop your tires wont grab enough to push the weight of the car so they are gonna spin. u have to feather out the clutch. its the only way to not spin that much. u have to get the cars weight moving a lil then hit the gas to the floor. u might not even floor the car all the way before u hit second . u have to feal the car and find out how much gas u can give it with out spinning. reving the car to 2000 3000 rpms is good but when u take off dont move your foot from the gas right away. keep your gas foot steady and slowly let the clutch out and feal the car grabing the ground. thats why u rev the car so u dont stall or bogg. when u release the clutch all the way u have to find the fastest speed to hit the gas with out spinning. then when u shift to second shift fast but shift normal and your on your way. the launch will take much practice but feal your car and listen too it. u cant just punch it like a ricer lol. hope i help ya.

why do you get better time starting slow in the beginning than you would spinning in the begining? so basically i actually have drive a few feet then hit it?

You are trying too hard to figure it out by word, go find a clean parking lot or a deserted road, start in 1st gear, but EASE your foot off the clutch and into the gas. Do this over and over again, but everytime try getting into the gas alittle harder, eventually you'll find the breaking loose BAD and the breaking loose slightly spot in your launch..

yeah what dan said. and yes u will get a slower time if u spin like crazy than if u took a lil more time to hook up. im not saying take off like u normally would every day driving but u need to find the fastest way to launch with out breaking loose the tires. u have to practice.
