Default Diablo tune

Hey guys, I just got my diablo tuner and I was wondering if anyone could help me get a better tune out of it with my modifications. I have a borla cat-back, o/r x-pipe and a jlt cold air intake. This is on a 01 Cobra, thanks.

All you do with the diablo is do the regular tune then if you want you can advance the timing. It's under spark advance, you can advance it in both rpm ranges just be sure to check for detonation.

About how much hp do you think i could get with changing the timing from the original diablo tune?

The Predator tune assumes you have the basic bolt on mods like an exhaust and intake. You can change the timing parameter up 10% BUT YOU MUST USE PREMIUM. In fact premium is mandatory with the tune anyways. To get full use of the tuner would require a dyno that had a wideband o2 meter and knock sensor. I am not sure the GT's have knock sensors. If they do then the timing would be pulled in the presence of knock. Besides the timing increase stick to the tune they sent until you get it on a dyno.
Did you tell them it was for a cobra? It may have made a difference.

So would changing it 10% hurt anything, and how much power should that increase? I already run premium through it.

It won't hurt anything, just listen for any knock. You will not feel any HP increase from it but in combnination with additional mods it may make a difference.

A knock? What kind of knock? Something like when the engine runs out of oil?
