Default launching

Hey, I have a generally stock 2001 GT, just seeing if anyone knew what the prime launching RPM's would be. I'm wanting to get good at launching, so I'd like to know whats the RPM where I get peak HP/TQ. And should I just dump the clutch or feather it. Any advise on launching? Thanks

cool, right now I think i do have those ecstas on the front, I Just got the car a couple weeks ago and the previous owner had nitto 555's on the back, completely worn down, so maybe i should just put some matching ecstas on the back. im not a fan of 2 different brands on one car.

if you don't actually race it at the track, you dont' need drag tires. I really like these kumhos, great off the line traction but they have a nice crisp chirp into 2nd gear but they don't cut loose, sounds good and they handle corners great... haven't had much rain action yet but had some wet roads and they did good as lon gas I don't floor it

Thats good, maybe i'll just get 2 more of those kumhos to replace my rears then. I was looking on tirerack too and saw some Avon 550's and they had great ratings.

if you go with tirerack you will be pleased. I got 4 of those kumhos for $350 to my door with road hazard! They have the best prices on pretty much any tire, and if you want they can drop ship them to wherever you have um installed
