question on buying a tuner?
first off, the SCT (not predator)is the better of the two, for an 04 GT, right? next, who ever I buy the tuner from, do they program it with 3 high performance tunes. and last, do they program it according to my upgrades/modifications, and is it best to have all upgrades I want done before I order the tuner, or can i upgrade later without a hassle of having better preprogrammed tunes? need advice thanks guys

RE: question on buying a tuner?
When I bought my 99 GT it already had the SCT tune programmed in it. From talking with the previous owner, it sounds like you can call SCT and list all the mods you have and they will program up to 3 tunes customized to your car and mods. Mine has a tune for 93 octane gas, a tune for 93 octane w/ 373 gears and one other that i cant remember.
If you buy the SCT, and decide to do more mods later the instructions say you can send it back to them and they can reprogram more tunes into it. Again, my tune was in the car when i bought it so mabey someone with more experience can with it can give you more info.

RE: question on buying a tuner?
Yes the SCT is a great tuner for your car. Yea most SCT dealers, who you purchase the tuner from, will take into account the mods you have done to your car and give you a tune. They can give you one for regular gas and premium if you wanted them to. You can get up to 3 tunes but if you always run premium then thats all you need. And yes after you perform more mods, you can send it back and have it retuned or simply have them email you a tune and then you can load it from your PC to the SCT tuner.

Yea the mail order tunes are just a mere baseline tune. You can bring your car to a dyno tuner to put it on the dyno and finetune your parameters such as your A/F ratio, timing, etc
