Default Exhaust

Im trying to install a new catback exhaust system on my 01 gt mustang but I am having trouble removing my stock exhaust. It is detached from the car but i can not get it past the axel either way. Has anyone had this problem and how do i fix it? Anyone with any ideas would help alot.

I am pretty sure you will not be able to do it with a floor jack or jack stands.

I used a lift and still cut the pipes. If you want to save the stock exhaust (why?), then you have to unbolt the shocks and quads and let the axle drop. Have fun with that.

Cut behind the mufflers!

Cut it right above the axel, that way it will just fall off after u go through.
