i never liked honking... the way my system works is this.

when i lock the doors, one blink of all the lights.
when i unlock my doors, three blinks.
when lock is not engaged and i try to lock the doors, no lights.
when i use my remote starter to start my engine, one blink and then engine cranks...

5 speed remote start explain?
Im not sure exactly how his works, but I was looking into getting a remote starter and only a few companys make them for manual transmissions. You have to go through a few steps before you shut your car off. You need to do something like pull the e-brake, then put it in neutral and then pull the e-brake again to arm the system.. Something like that, there may be a different process but its a process so its certain you put it in neutral before leaving the car. So when you remote start it, it doesnt stall or drive away.

I had one in my standard Honda. I always had to keep it in neutral. Those are so cheap I have it on my Supercrew and Stand too.
