i have to agree with everyone..pulling a 4v out would be completely retarded. this guy is hard headed. he gets ahead of himself with every post. just keep the 4.6, and build the bottum end. or, if you insist on pulling a great motor out, get a 5.4 from a navigator, the ford truck 5.4 are only 2vs.
Dude, you are insane...not you Nomo....Why in the F would you buy a Mach 1 and just sh*t can the motor???? I agree with Nomo, build up the bottom end...port and polish...add the S/C, they make them! Why screw with a collectible? You know how many they made in '03???? >8500!!! DUH!!! BTW...mine is a '04 as you know, they onlt made about 850 Oxford Whites in '03!

hard headed? come on man. all i wanted was some answers. i didnt need an insult. i have done nothing but appreciate and respect everything u have helped me with and this is how its gonna be? well anyways, the only thing i dont like bout the motor is the fact that the block can withstand much power at all. so ive heard.is this true? why buy a fast, fun, sports car if all u care about is the value it MIGHT have in 10 years? i want to enjoy these bad mchines while im young ya know? im not *itching at everyone, just see it from my point of view aswell as urs. not sayin u guys r wrong, but everyone has their own opinions. and i did think about it a little earlier and i dont think i would sell the motor. i would prob just keep it around incase i did sell the car. anyways if you gus would keep helpin me i would really appreciate it. p.s. nomo, i dont have any beef with you.lol

all you need to beef up your motor is pistons and rods. about 1300 bucks. after that, you can boost the hell out of it

i thought the motor in the mach was the same as the one in the 03 cobra.?.?.?.?.? if thats the case, everything is already built and you shouldn't have to touch anything internally. a friend of mine has an 03 with a kenne belle on it running 27lbs of boost with 695rwhp and over 750rwtq... he is putting the nitrous on it this week. he knows his **** and said that will all that hp and a 150 shot, he would be ok. with a tune of course. i thought they put the same motor in the mach...

No, the motor is completely different from the 03-04 Cobra.

Mach 1's can handle around 10PSI, get a good tune, continually check your plugs & timing, use good fuel and she should last longer than you want.
